2027 FAC Gallery Open Call
Fresno Arts Council is seeking two-dimensional visual artists and art collectives to exhibit their artwork in the FAC Gallery for one of the following months in 2027: January, February, April, June, July, September, October, November. Selected artists will host an ArtHop reception at the FAC Gallery on the first Thursday of their exhibiting month.
Applicants must have 15-20 pieces to be considered.
Artwork must be backed with metal wire in order to be displayed.
There is no height or weight limit for artwork in the gallery. Large works are preferred.
Stay tuned for our FAC Group Show Open Call! Artists will be invited to submit up to three pieces for consideration in a collaborative exhibition at the FAC Gallery.
The entry deadline is Friday, October 2, 2026 at 11:59 PM on Submittable. Please review the project guidelines here before applying.

Fresno Arts Council, in partnership with Fresno City Hall, is now accepting submissions from artists, art groups and art organizations to exhibit two dimensional visual artwork in 2027 for one month at one of two floors in Fresno City Hall. Selected artists will host an ArtHop reception at Fresno City Hall on the first Thursday of their exhibiting month.
Applicants must have 15-20 pieces to be considered.
Artwork must be backed with metal wire in order to be displayed.
Artwork cannot contain nudity or political commentary.
Artwork cannot be taller than 34”, wider than 54”, and cannot weigh over 30 lbs.

Tupman Park Mural Artist Call
Fresno Arts Council is working with District 3 Councilmember Miguel Arias to select individual artists and/or artist collectives to paint a mural at Tupman Park. The final design will be painted on-site at Tupman Park located on California Avenue and Tupman Street in Fresno, CA 93706.
The proposed concepts and designs should reflect the diversity and unity of the neighborhood community through a vibrant and colorful composition. Artists are encouraged to incorporate imagery inspired by local agriculture, wildlife, and themes of belonging, family, and play.
The mural dimensions are 85 ft. x 6 ft. and the budget for this project is $33,150. This project is open to experienced artists from California, age 18 or over. Local artists are preferred, but not required.

Alliance for California Traditional Arts is Hiring a Volunteer Coordinator
The Alliance for California Traditional Arts is hiring a Volunteer Coordinator for the Great Valley Gathering Folklife Festival (October 2–4, 2026). The Festival Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for planning, developing, and managing all aspects of the volunteer program for the Great Valley Gathering Folklife Festival. Working closely with festival leadership, this position recruits, trains, schedules, and supervises volunteers who support festival operations across performance venues, cultural demonstration areas, guest services, artist hospitality, information booths, accessibility services, and other festival activities. The coordinator creates a welcoming and organized volunteer experience while helping provide adequate staffing across all festival functions.
This is a temporary part-time, on-site position in Fresno, with pay ranging from $30-$35/hour depending on experience. The schedule is from August-October 2026, and hours may very based on festival planning and operational needs.

Alliance for California Traditional Arts is Hiring a Foodways Coordinator
The Alliance for California Traditional Arts is hiring a Foodways Coordinator for the Great Valley Gathering Folklife Festival (October 2–4, 2026). The Foodways Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing the Foodways Program for the Great Valley Gathering Folklife Festival, highlighting California’s diverse culinary traditions through demonstrations, conversations, tastings, and educational experiences. Working closely with the Festival Director, Festival Coordinator, and Production team, this position coordinates tradition bearers, chefs, cooks, farmers, and community partners to present engaging programs that celebrate the cultural significance of food as an expression of heritage, identity, and community. The Foodways Coordinator serves as the primary liaison for Foodways presenters throughout the planning and festival process, coordinating communications, schedules, program logistics, demonstration needs, and on-site support. This position helps create meaningful visitor experiences while supporting participating culture bearers and maintaining the cultural integrity of the festival’s Foodways programming.

The Alliance for California Traditional Arts is hiring a Food Vendor Coordinator for the Great Valley Gathering Folklife Festival (October 2–4, 2026). The Food Vendor Coordinator manages all aspects of food vendor participation for the Great Valley Gathering Folklife Festival (October 2–4, 2026), serving as the primary liaison between the festival and participating food vendors. Working closely with the Festival Director and staff, this position coordinates vendor communications, contracting, permitting, site logistics, and on-site operations to create a diverse, efficient, and welcoming food experience that reflects the cultural mission of the festival. The Food Vendor Coordinator oversees vendor logistics from initial outreach through festival closeout, helping vendors navigate application requirements, health and safety regulations, operational procedures, and festival expectations. This position collaborates with Production, Operations, and site management teams to support vendor success while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations and festival policies.

ChalkWild LLC is hiring Instructional Staff to deliver after-school enrichment programming on-site at a Fresno Unified School District (FUSD) Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) site. This role centers on art-integrated social-emotional learning and art-integrated literacy: guided art, personalized storytelling, creative self-expression, and introductory AI/technology literacy, for students in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 8th grade.
Key responsibilities:
• Lead instructional rotations and activities independently, following ChalkWild curriculum and lesson plans
• Supervise students at all times during program hours
• Maintain the FUSD-required staffing ratio: 1 staff to 10 students (TK/K) or 1 staff to 20 students (1st grade and above)
• Assist with cleanup during nutrition and transition times
• Support relevant duties as assigned by the school site Expanded Learning Coordinator I (e.g., program cleanup, behavior support)
• Follow site safety and communication protocols set by the school site Coordinator
• Provide direct instructional services to students per the ChalkWild curriculum
• Complete required prep work (15 minutes built into each program day)
This is a part-time, on-site position in Fresno, with pay ranging from $20-$24/hour + paid professional learning hours.
