The Fresno Arts Council is currently mentoring and fiscally managing the Kings County Arts Council (KCAC) as they work to establish their own official Arts Council.

KCAC is a community-led coalition of local arts advocates committed to the advancement of the arts in Kings County. These local arts advocates are conscious of the powerful role the arts play in the social and economic fabric of Kings County and the great potential the arts have to create a more resilient Kings County. They serve Kings County as connectors, weaving the arts into community life and supporting inter-organizational collaboration.

KCAC is currently operating under the State Local Partner Mentorship (SLP-M) program offered by the California Arts Council (CAC). As such, KCAC fully supports the mission of the CAC to strengthen arts, culture, and creative expression as tools to cultivate a better California for all. This includes the CAC’s strategic plan for economic growth via the arts sector as outlined in the Creative Economy initiative.
