The FOOSA Philharmonic—an orchestra consisting of both faculty and students from the FOOSA Festival/Fresno Summer Orchestra Academy—will perform Richard Strauss’s epic Eine Alpensinfonie, a breathtaking musical depiction of a day in the Alps, from sunrise to storm to sunset. The program also features Béla Bartók’s dramatic suite from The Miraculous Mandarin, a thrilling score filled with mystery, passion, and raw orchestral power. Together, these masterpieces showcase the virtuosity, artistry, and passion of the next generation of orchestral musicians.
