Free FOOSA Concerts at Fresno State

  • Fresno State Concert Hall Fresno, California, 93740 United States (map)

Attend a series of casual, exciting concerts that showcase participants at Fresno’s international FOOSA Festival: Fresno Summer Orchestra Academy. Since 2013, the Youth Orchestras of Fresno, in partnership with the Fresno State College of Arts and Humanities, have been offering intensive orchestral study with renowned faculty to aspiring musicians from around the world.

These nightly concerts, held in the Concert Hall at Fresno State, are a chance for participants to show what they are learning, and a chance for the public to get a sense of what it takes to prepare for life as a professional musician.

Free! 7:30pm on these dates: Wednesday June 17; Thursday June 18; Friday June 19 (Concerto Competition Finals: exciting evening!); Saturday June 20 (Faculty Recital! Don’t miss!); Monday June 22; Tuesday June 23; Wednesday June 24.

Also, of course, we have a series of final concerts. The FOOSA Chamber Orchestra and Symphony programs present their final concert at the Fresno State Concert Hall at 7:00pm on Saturday June 27. Admission is free.

The FOOSA Philharmonic will present its final concert in Los Angeles at the Walt Disney Concert Hall on Friday June 26 at 8:00pm. Click here for information and tickets.

But if you can’t make it to LA, never fear. They are presenting the concert again here in Fresno on Sunday June 28 at 3:00pm at the Paul Shaghoian Concert Hall (Clovis North High School). Click for information and tickets.
