Overview
The Fresno Arts Council have programs that are in line with our organizational mission. Select which programs listed below that you would like to learn more.
- ArtHop - a semi-monthly celebration of the arts that happens every first and third Thursdays of each month. From 5pm - 8pm, ArtHop venues open up their space for artists exhibitions and reception to the public for free.
- Public Art - the Fresno Arts Council serves as the agency consultant on the Public Art initiative for Fresno City and County.
- Community Enhancement - The Fresno Arts Council was tasked to disburse the A to Z tax initiative to fund various arts programs in Fresno County. The community enhancement re-granting program provides the necessary funding to various sizes of arts- and culture-related community benefit organizations.
- Social Network for the Arts - The Fresno Arts Council provides the community with a platform to communicate and collaborate using online tools and social media.
- Master Arts Cultural Plan - the Master Arts Cultural Plan is the strategic document being created to guide FAC's organizational goals for the local arts industry and the community in general.
Did you know?
That ArtHop was founded more than 10 years ago by local artists including Chris Sorensen and Frank Arnold. What started as 10 venues has now grown to more than 80.
