| I confess, I'm a junker,a collector of junk. I've always loved collecting...found, odd, unloved things, or just plain junk. I use, reuse, up-cycle and re-purpose junk to create art that is interesting, playful, quirky and fun. OBJECTS, TRANSCENDING PURPOSE There is something magical about taking something ordinary, worn, or dilapidated, and reviving it into something extraordinary with a touch of whimsy. My art is mixed media, collage and assemblage, or found object sculpture. I enjoy the artistic process of creating a three-dimensional composition by putting together found objects, altered bits and pieces, along with my imagery. My art reflects my experiences, surroundings, and imagination. It's developing a unique voice hoping to draw a reaction from the viewer. When I start working on a piece, I don't know where I am going with it. Many times, a title or phrase will guide my way. I strive for uniqueness, hoping it will strike a cord within the individual. |
